A tincture is a liquid extract made from herbs. Tinctures are easier to absorb and more bioavailable than other methods of herbal medicine. My tinctures use only wildcrafted herbs which are meticulously prepared, combined into the formulas and then soaked to make a potent herbal elixir.

Take 5 drops twice daily between meals, shake the bottle before use. If you have more than 5 tinctures, they can be used in two groups taken 10 minutes apart from each other.
-
These formulas work best taken over two 5 day periods each month following the Lunar Calendar, use the QR code to see it. Each 5 day period overlaps with the Full and New Moon.
It doesn't have to be exact, but generally speaking:
• Begin with 3 drops, see how you feel and work up to 5 drops then to 1⁄2 dropper at your own pace.
• Full Moon: begin 4nights before the Full Moon, take for a total of 5 nights.
• New Moon: start the night of the New Moon for 5 nights. -
Take on an empty Stomach between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. Drink 1 cup of warm water or Ginger Power tea after taking drops.
• Day 1: 5 drops 2x a day
• Day 2: 1 dropper 2x a day
• Day 3 and on: 1 dropper 2-3x a dayFor those not wanting to consume alcohol, place drops into 1 oz of warm water for 5-10 minutes to evaporate the alcohol before consuming.

Only Black Sesame Seed Extract and children’s tinctures require refrigeration.
For all others, while it is not required, it is safe to store your products in the fridge when not in use. We do recommend storing them in a cool, dark place away from direct heat and light for maximum freshness.
-
Most of our tinctures have a shelf life of 6 years. Black sesame and children’s tinctures are 1 year.
-
This is a sign of potency upon extraction of specific herbs. The appearance of concentrated compounds on the tincture’s dropper is a normal result of our small batch extraction and percolation process.
-
Many patients ask me why I use alcohol in the formula found in my tinctures. Alcohol is used for several reasons, first off being that it enhances the shelf life of the tincture to last for years. This allows you to use formulas while needed and always have a collection of different herbs ready for consumption depending on the need.
Tinctures can be made with vinegar or glycerin, but they will not be as strong, as alcohol draws out more of the herbal properties than any other ingredient. What alcohol has the ability to do is act as a carrier to bring the tincture to where it's intended to go. It leads the herbs to the meridians, channels, and each unique organ system that the tincture is made for.
Think of alcohol in this case like a wick. If you want to light up a firecracker you light the wick for the firecracker to explode.
Notes to consider: The amount of alcohol in the average dose of tincture is less than the amount in an average mouthwash.
