Wildcrafted Ingredients: Wildcrafted Rou Cong-Rong 肉苁蓉 (Herba Cistanches), Gou Qi Zi 枸杞子 (Fructus Lycii). Organic cane alcohol.
Rou Cong Rong: When considering learning and memory, three levels of mechanisms are involved: (1) the ability to acquire memory, i.e., learning ability; (2) the ability to store memory, i.e., consolidation; and (3) the ability to recall memorized information (Choi et al., 2011). The Rou Cong-Rong [C. tubulosa extract] was confirmed to significantly improve these mechanisms by preventing brain neuron apoptosis through the expression of apoptosis-related factors and neurotrophic factors in MES23.5 cells (Lin et al., 2013). Pharmacological studies demonstrated that Cistanches Herba (Rou Cong Rong) exhibits neuroprotective, kidney impotence, laxative, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective (the ability of a chemical substance to prevent damage to the liver.), immunomodulatory, anti-oxidative, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-tumor effects (Hu and Feng, 2012).

Goji berries contain betaine, which is then converted to choline– an “essential nutrient.” Choline is labeled an essential nutrient because it is required for normal body functioning and either cannot be synthesized by the body at all, or cannot be synthesized in amounts adequate for good health – and thus must be obtained from a dietary source, such as goji berries.
