*In Traditional Chinese Medicine, irritability, restlessness, mood swings, skin eruptions, asthma, and menopausal discomfort often arise from disharmony between the Liver, Spleen, and Lung systems, combined with Cold pathogens or imbalances in Qi and Blood circulation. This formula gently harmonizes Yin and Yang, nourishes Blood, calms the Shen, and supports the body’s natural defense against external illness.

For menopausal women, it’s common to experience symptoms when the body has too much artificial heat and not enough Yin (moisture + cooling energy). This imbalance can show up as irritability, mood swings, restlessness, and insomnia.

Cool and Calm works to reduce agitation, frustration, and moodiness by clearing excess heat and easing tension. Pair with Yin Restore to replenish Yin and bring your body back into balance— helping you feel grounded, nourished, and calm again.

  • Gui Zhi 桂枝 – Warms and unblocks the channels, disperses Cold, and improves circulation. Helps with chest fullness, cold extremities with interior heat, and early-stage colds or fever.

  • Bai Shao 白芍  – Nourishes Blood and Yin, softens the Liver, and relieves spasms. Eases irritability, menstrual discomfort, uterine fibroids, and emotional volatility while supporting calmness during menopause.

  • Sheng Jiang 生姜  – Gently warms the middle Jiao, disperses Cold, harmonizes the Stomach, and strengthens the Lungs. Relieves abdominal pain from chills, supports immunity, and eases allergic rhinitis or asthma.

  • Da Zao 大枣 – Tonifies Spleen and Qi, nourishes Blood, and calms the Shen. Helps with restlessness, hyperactivity, mood swings, and fatigue, while supporting resilience through menopausal transitions.

  • Zhi Gan Cao 炙甘草  – Harmonizes the actions of the other herbs, tonifies Qi, and soothes spasms. Helps regulate digestion, relieve itching and skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis, and balances the formula’s warming effects.

Together, these herbs address emotional imbalance (irritability, restlessness, moodiness, easily annoyed, grumpy), menopausal changes (heat imbalance, low resilience, emotional instability), and physical symptoms (allergic rhinitis, eczema, asthma, common cold, fever, uterine fibroids, abdominal pain from chills, itching, psoriasis, hyperactivity). They restore harmony, protect against external pathogens, and bring a sense of cool, calm balance to both body and spirit.
